Major Laws Passed on EpinephrineIn 2013, President Obama signed the School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act into law. It took two years in Congress. It encourages states to enforce policies requiring schools to stock undesignated epinephrine auto-injectors for emergencies. This law was put into motion, because previously, allergic reactions in schools led to deaths since there was no EpiPen present. States who develop such policies will be given additional preference for federal grants to help provide these EpiPens.
